TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

1. Description:

  • a) Student: The customer or person for whom the internship search
    services are being performed and the person who has accepted the
    terms and conditions via the Terms and Conditions form, sent to
    Internships Abroad SL. The definition has nothing to do with the official
    status and always refers to a single person. The Student agrees with the
    communication, billing and automatic reminders through email. The
    responsibility that the invoice through email actually arrives lies with the
    Student. He/she cannot appeal to any possible spam filters and/or no
    valid billing email address that could possibly be the cause of the
    non-arrival of an invoice.
    b) Host Company: Every collaborating internship company that
    Internships Abroad SL. has contacted, with the intention of the
    aforementioned Student realizing an internship within their company. The
    conditions of the contract between the Student and the company are not
    the responsibility of Internships Abroad SL. This includes working hours,
    geographical flexibility, compensation, internship purpose, behavior on
    the workplace, and possible termination. Internships Abroad SL. has the
    right to regularly inquire about the motivation, behavior and
    performance of the Student who is placed in the internship and to
    mediate should any problems arise.
    c) Internships Abroad SL or IntAbroad: The consultant
    organization that works to coordinate between Student and Host
    Company. Internships Abroad SL core task is to assist by advising,
    informing and mediating with the purpose of realizing a contract
    between the Student and the host company.
    d) Registration Fee: The first payment that confirms that Internships
    Abroad SL will start services and the Student agrees to this agreement.
    e) Matching Fee: Consulting service to find an internship for a
    Student, provided by Internships Abroad SL.
    f) Additional Fees: The additional fee services are provided by external
    organizations. Different service providers, who are able to provide
    additional services to Internships Abroad SL. This includes the
    accommodation, insurance, travel agencies, universities, and every other
    company where the Student has engaged with to realize an internship
    through Abroad Internships. The conditions of these contracts (including
    payment in some cases) are individual agreements between the Student
    and the external organization and are under no condition visible or the
    responsibility of Internships Abroad SL.
    2. General
    a) Internships Abroad SL (named ‘IntAbroad’ in
    the following text) and the person who enters into the agreement
    (“Student”) agree to a partnership in order to complete all tasks with the
    basis of the terms & conditions and the prices mentioned on the website
    (www.intabroad.com), with mutual approval. Our
    general service conditions and price lists are valid and exclusive. If any
    claims or demands made by the Student against or differ from the terms
    & conditions, we will not consider these, as long as both parties have not
    confirmed in written form.
    b) Internships Abroad SL is not responsible for any extra costs that a
    Student may incur via external organizations. Internships Abroad SL will
    consider no requests relating to discounts or payments, when the
    Student has made use of external organizations for services, given they
    are not considered a part of their service as seen in Section 1-f of this
    agreement).
    c) Under no condition will there be payments made to Students who have
    organized transport or accommodation, before receiving an official
    confirmation from Internships Abroad SL that the Student has been hired
    for an IntAbroad internship in the city of choice. This is the individual decision of
    the Student; the Student is therefore solely responsible for all financial
    consequences that are connected to a premature booking of external
    organizations without having received an official confirmation about the
    location and internship program from Internships Abroad SL.
    3. The procedure and the official contract:
    a) After filling out the contact form on the website with their name, email
    address, phone number, Internships Abroad SL will respond to the
    Student by email or phone and send along a more detailed application
    form as well as other documentation that the Student will need to begin
    the matching process. This is to be considered a tender for a specific
    service at the request of the Student via our contact form.
    b) The Student accepts this by sending back the enrollment to
    info@intabroad.com. By pressing the send button in the
    e-mail application the agreement will be sent and accepted by
    Internships Abroad SL.
    c) The Student is expected to have read and understood the terms and
    conditions in every aspect and has agreed with the conditions before
    officially accepting. If any questions remain unanswered, the Student can
    contact Internships Abroad SL via email at
    info@intabroad.com.
    d) The Student is responsible for truthfully filing all forms. Changes can be
    passed on by email via info@intabroad.com.
    e) We advise that Students should register through
    www. intabroad.com no later than four months before
    the ideal starting date of the internship. Or contacts Internships Abroad
    SL team to see if there are any short term possibilities available.
    f) Internships from Internships Abroad SL are for Students over 18 years
    from the start date of the internship.
    4. Qualification process:
    The qualification process is an internal process of Internships Abroad SL,
    which is dependent on the quality and content of the application form and
    the enrollment materials (CV, cover letter and possible references) that
    the Student has submitted to Internships Abroad SL.
    The criteria for the selection are the common assessment based on the
    school and
    university rankings, extracurricular activities, internship and work
    experience and experience abroad. If the enrollment application lacks
    information, is incomplete or not usable then Internships Abroad SL will
    inform the Student. Where possible, both parties will correct the
    discrepancy. Internships Abroad SL reserves the right to change the
    Student information to a different format and make minor adjustments. If
    the Student’s application does not meet IntAbroad eligibility standards,
    Internships Abroad SL will not continue services and the process will be
    terminated. At this point the Student and IntAbroad have no financial or material
    obligations to each other.
    5. Program Fee:
    a) Upon Internships Abroad SL’s confirmation that the Student qualifies
    for services, the Student will pay a Registration Fee of €95 to the bank
    details as indicated on the invoice. The invoice will be sent by email as
    soon as the application form, along with the resume and cover letter of
    the Student are received. The Program Fee is the official signature or
    E-signature (online registration form) that Internships Abroad SL will start
    the mediation and the Student agrees to the collaboration. The Registration Fee
    will eventually be deducted of the total price as the Student and the
    host company has agreed on the placement.
    b) If Internships Abroad SL is unable to find an internship for the Student
    within the given deadline on the application form, the Registration Fee will
    be returned minus €40.
    In case the Student cancels because of personal
    reasons, the fee will not be repaid. If the Student is not able to realize
    an internship because he or she does not respond in a timely matter to
    e-mails or phone calls, within a maximum of 3 calendar days after the last contact,
    the fee will not be repaid. When a Student is going to be inaccessible
    for a period of time, the Student should communicate this towards
    Internships Abroad SL. Even when no internship is found by Internships
    Abroad SL and Internships Abroad SL have tried to get in touch to repay
    the deposit, the Student has to supply the needed information within two
    weeks so Internships Abroad SL is able to return the deposit.
    c) If the given deadline from the Student to Internships Abroad SL is less
    than 8 weeks’ time to realize an internship, then the Registration Fee will
    not be repaid, in the case of not having found a suitable internship
    placement. If a Student is not selected for the first internship applied, and
    assuming that said internship meets the individual Student’s preferences,
    IntAbroad will seek a second placement for the Student, at which point the
    Registration Fee will not be refundable.
    This refund will not take place if the Student
    decides not to proceed, after receiving from IntAbroad the internship
    possibilities that meet the criteria given on the application form and in
    the email contact.
    d) If the Student decides to stop the services after the Registration Fee is
    paid because of illness or circumstances in the family (death 1st and 2nd
    degree relative), Internships Abroad SL will return the Registration Fee
    minus €50. In both cases, the Student must provide written proof to
    Internships Abroad SL. Internships Abroad SL reserves the right to
    determine whether the document is sufficient and a valid reason.
    Canceling because the Student has changed their mind, their field of
    work/study or because they will not receive enough credit do not count
    as valid reasons for recovering the deposit.
    e) If the Student cancels services after paying the Program Fee for
    any reason not mentioned in 5.c) and 5.d), Internships Abroad will have to
    be notified by the Student to discuss any future actions. In this case,
    Internships Abroad SL has the right to keep the Program Fee and to
    terminate the contract.
    6. Matching Fee
    a) Unless otherwise agreed between the two parties, the Matching Fee reflected on the IntAbroad form, minus the Registration Fee, has to be paid within three calendar days after Internships Abroad SL has scheduled an interview between the student and host company. This will be confirmed through email. In the case of a host company that decides to accept the student without an interview, the obligation of the student to pay the Matching Fee will be three calendar days after Internships Abroad SL informs them of that decision. The final invoice will be sent after Internships Abroad SL receives the Program Fee in its entirety.

b) If final payment has not been paid within ten days after the invoice has
been sent by Internships Abroad SL, Internships Abroad SL will charge an
extra €10 for every additional request for payment. After the third
reminder Abroad Internships has the right to immediately terminate the
agreement and both parties will have no further responsibilities. In case
the Student has not paid after the third reminder, but the contracts have
been signed, Internships Abroad SL has the right to turn to a collection
agency for the final payment. Any extra costs will be made on behalf of
the Student. Internships Abroad SL is in the case of not receiving the final
payment entitled to cancel the internship.
c) If the Student decides to cancel the internship after the
Matching Fee has been paid and before the internship has started, as the
result of severe illness or death in the immediate family, Internships
Abroad SL will repay the Matching Fee to the Student. In both
cases a written proof needs to be sent to Internships Abroad SL citing the
Student’s inability to continue working. Internships Abroad SL reserves
the right to determine whether the document is sufficient and a valid
reason.
7. Travel documents:
It is the responsibility of the Student to be in possession of the correct
travel documentation before the internships starts, like a passport, valid
identity card, visa, work permit and proof of appropriate vaccinations.
Internships Abroad SL will inform the Student about all required travel
documents, but the request, payment and obtaining the documents is
entirely the responsibility of the Student.
When the Student is not capable of making the trip or parts of the trip
because of the lack of the correct documentation, all consequences are
the sole responsibility of the Student.
8. Changes after the Program Fee has been paid but before the internship has begun.
a) The Student has the right to change “small details” of the internship
description and to discuss with the supervisor when the training has
begun.
b) ‘Small changes’ include: changes with respect to the start/end date of
the placement, research subject, or others.
“Small changes” require the Student to remain in the same company at the
same location. These agreements must be communicated to Internships
Abroad SL directly and have no financial implications for all parties
involved.
c) ‘Major changes’ contain: changing location, company, position within
the company, or cancelling the internship.

(In this last case, the Student will be required to terminate

the contract between them and the Host Company)
Major changes made before the internships start date, can
lead to the return of the deposit if they are based on incorrect
information that has been provided by Internships Abroad SL to the
Student. If the alternative option has a higher total price, the Student is
responsible for the difference in price. If this service is offered by an
external organization and the price is lower, Internships Abroad will work
with the Student to recover the difference in price, but can not guarantee
repayment.
When the Student makes a Major change to the internships more than
eight weeks from the starting date, the Student is responsible for all
consequences. In this case, neither party has any financial or material
liabilities and the Student is not entitled to any return of payments.
d) When the Student must cancel the internships due to illness or death in
the immediate family, the Student can do this throughout the entire
internship period and Internships Abroad SL will return the deposit. In
both cases, written proof needed. Furthermore, Internships Abroad SL
has the right to evaluate whether the proof is a sufficient reason to quit
the internship.
9. Termination by the host company itself.
In the event that the host company terminates the contract
between the company and the Student as the result of misbehavior by
the Student, Internships Abroad SL has no further obligations as the
contracts as well as the reason for the dismissal is only the responsibility
of the two signing parties. In this case there is no possibility of the return
of money from Internships Abroad SL.
If the host company terminates the contract prematurely between
the host company and the Student based on internal reasons and
not based on the behavior of the Student, Internships Abroad SL will try
to find a similar internship as soon as possible for the Student. This will be
free of all costs for the collaborating parties.
10. Internships Abroad SL service
a) During the period in which Internships Abroad SL is engaged in
services, it assumes no responsibility or liability for any legal
consequences that may arise from the collaboration with Internships
Abroad SL.
Internships Abroad SL accepts no responsibility for the agreements
made between the Student and the Host Company. Internships Abroad SL
gives no warranty, express or implied, that when the registration is
completed an internship is guaranteed.
Internships Abroad assumes no liability to damages caused by incorrect
or false information from the Host Company. In this case, IntAbroad will act in
accordance with Section 8c) of this agreement (See section: “Major Changes”).
The implementation of each part of the agreement, are at the risk and
expense of the Student.
b) All complaints regarding the internship must be reported immediately
to Internships Abroad SL; Internships Abroad SL will place these
complaints in the correct category as 8.a) to 8.d) or 9.
c) In the case that the Student hampers the work of Internships Abroad
SL by providing false information, deliberately disrupting the internship
process, changing the internship time frame, or by not following the
deadlines described in Section 5.b),extra costs will be added to the total
invoice, which will be determined by Internships Abroad SL.
d) If the Student is offered a job or internship directly by one of our host companies, after initiating services with IntAbroad, the neither the Matching Fee nor the Registration Fee will be returned.
11. The applicant explicitly allows Internships Abroad SL to record the
interviews. The applicant also allows IntAbroad to forward / send that
recording, the resume, and profile report to the collaborating companies/ host companies.
Students agree to allow photos and video taken during the program to be
used for publicity purposes of Internships Abroad SL.
12. The Students and company will not further compromise support by
Educational Cooperation implementing Spanish Royal Decree 592/2014,
from July 11st 2014, which regulates academic practices of
university Students with the goal of giving the Student an opportunity to
combine theoretical knowledge with practical context. There will be no
obligation on the part of the Host Company to offer the Student a job
before, during or after the internship period.
13. In the event that the Student becomes unconscious or incapacitated
due to illness or injury while at the Host Company, college, school, or
accommodation, he or she grant permission for the staff to take
necessary measures for providing examination and treatment. He or she
understands that he or she will be responsible for the expenses incurred
for this emergency medical attention.
14. These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or
in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including
non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by, and construed
in accordance with the law of Spain.
Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of Bilbao (Spain) shall have
exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in
connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter or
formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
15. The following are the base requirements for a visa from the Spanish
Interior Ministry and the EU Schengen Area
– Not being subject to a ban on entry (recorded in the S.I.S. or
in the National Register)
– Not being considered a threat to the public health, public order,
national security, or international relations of Spain or of
other States with which Spain has agreements in this regard.
– Not having already stayed in Spain for three months during
the period tprior to applying for a visa
The following are causes for refusing entry
– Having previously been expelled or returned by Spain or
another Schengen State.
– Having been expressly denied entry for activities contrary
to the interests of Spain, activities against human rights, or
for notorious connections with criminal organizations.
– Being wanted internationally for criminal reasons.
Internships Abroad SL accepts no responsibility for costs incurred as a
result of denied visa applications.
